Description

Under the general guidance of the Cluster Director of Marketing, develop marketing strategy and annual marketing plan to strengthen the product positioning and the property’s commercial objectives. Serve as champion and guardian of key brand initiatives to drive growth and development for InterContinental and Holiday Inn Express. Partner and collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Global Brand Team, Regional Marketing, Loyalty and Digital to further refine the marketing communications strategy fully responsible for planning, execution, and reporting.

Person specification Essential

• Education qualification in marketing or communications, or significant experience of working in a similar role.

• Energy, enthusiasm, and proven experience in producing content and best practice, preferably within the hospitality environment.

• Experience developing and marketing campaigns and reporting on performance across multiple channels.

• Experience with Content Creation using packages such as Adobe Suite.

• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, members and suppliers.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to priorities and structure work schedules.

• Good proof-reading skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Relevant marketing qualification and/or training.

Skills: Social Media management, Digital Marketing, Campaign Management, Customer engagement, distribution strategy, e mail marketing, market planning, media placement, product marketing, design and copywriting.

Key- Responsibilities:

1. Assists in coordination of rooms, food and beverage, spa, and other promotions.

2. Assists in developing brochure and property collateral materials.

3. Participates in all property content.

4. Uses and interprets all reporting necessary for sound marketing recommendations.

5. Reviews and provides analysis on all websites and campaign tracking.

6. Provides regular tracking/ROI and analysis of promotions and website/email/ meta campaigns, using industry averages for ROI calculation, and uses this knowledge in future planning.

7. Ensures consistency in individual property's voice on all guest touchpoints and marketing communications, not only following corporate graphic standards, but also on behalf of the individual property and food and beverage outlets.

8. Coordinates execution of online marketing efforts through approved agencies/vendors

9. Works with regional Digital and eCommerce team to optimize Paid Search performance.

10. Manages the Content management platform of IHG hotels and the resort.

11. Executes online marketing activities.

12. Assures that hotel independent website and global sites are fully optimized to maximize traffic from search engines.

13. Identifies hotel-specific online digital activation needs (e.g., local channels to focus marketing efforts through).

14. Liaises with Cluster Marketing leadership to ensure the communication plan supports the overall hotel marketing strategy.
